Peanut Butter Banana Bread

I love giving food gifts, don’t you? It seems like I always have bananas past their prime eating, but I never take the time to make banana bread. No more procrastinating. I did it. I doubled this recipe and made 10 little loaves to give away! And this bread is delicious, too! It’s so moist and flavorful. Make it and take it. (and enjoy a couple bites for yourself!)

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Lightly grease a 9X5-inch loaf pan
  • In a large bowl, add bananas, sugars, butter, sour cream, peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until well-combined
  • Add the flour, baking soda, salt and chocolate chips and stir until just combined
  • Spread the batter in the prepared pan(s) and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  • Let the bread cool for 10-15 minutes
  • Gently remove from pan to a cooling rack to cool completely
