Meet Elsie Bee!
Elsie Bee is thrilled to be the midday host on Joy99! Elsie studied broadcasting in college, but felt a call to vocational ministry and spent 2 decades serving in church (and non-profit) ministry. God doesn’t waste a thing, and combined her love of broadcasting with ministry by bringing her to Joy Media in 2019. She is married to the love of her life, Burton, and they have 3 boys—Corbin, Caden, and Cohen. Elsie loves to sing, especially worship music, and also enjoys live theater and dance. She likes spending time with family at Lake Michigan, and quiet walks with Jesus along the lakeshore. She is passionate about recovery ministry and the full inclusion of people of all abilities! Elsie is a graduate of Anderson University and The Church of God Theological Seminary. She is an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament in the Reformed Church in America.

Enough For You
Several years ago, I dealt with a health issue that caused me to have chronic pain. You couldn’t see the issue, but I could feel it 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It was awful. I’ve never experienced pain that debilitating in my life. To give you a frame of reference,...
