One of the biggest surprises of the spring 2024 fashion shows has been the return of modest SHORTS! Finally, designers have figured out that we aren’t going to buy napkin-length bottoms and the push for appropriate length shorts has resulted in dozens of designers making gorgeous and chic knee-length trouser shorts!
Many of these shorts are paired with blazers and jackets, creating modern power suits and the total look has a luxe office vibe. Think blouses, poplin button-ups, belts, and sophisticated shoes.
These shorts aren’t especially for tees and trainers, but they are sophisticated and a perfect option for everything from dates to meetings.
I’m crazy for this trend and am eager to both buy it and create it from underused trousers I already own. You can usually get trousers hemmed for around $20 so I know I have a couple of pants just waiting to become trendy knee-length shorts!!
