Make your next Taco Tuesday a little better with homemade taco seasoning! It takes 5 minutes or less and most of the ingredients are already in your house!

Here’s what you’ll need: chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and salt. (Plus a pinch of brown sugar can give it that signature smokey-sweet flavor)

To make homemade taco seasoning, stir together 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 tablespoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, and 1/2 teaspoon light brown sugar until combined. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place up to 1 year.
