I was reading in the Bible from Mark 7 and 8. Mark recorded several miracles that Jesus had done. Many people touched Jesus, and they were made well. Jesus fed 4,000. And, Jesus healed a Deaf-Mute by putting His fingers in his eyes, and He spat and touched the man’s tongue. “Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly“.
Amazing, right? A miracle for sure! Yet, the Pharisees, (religious leaders) were asking for a sign. Um, Hello!? What more do you need? But, Jesus actually said in Mark 8:12, “No sign shall be given…”. These pharisees were spiritually sick. THEY were the ones both blind, and deaf! They wanted more, and Jesus was basically saying, “I am the sign”.
As we enter into 2019, let’s be aware of what Jesus is doing around us. Stay spiritually healthy, NOT sick!
