A Winter Storm Warning is still in effect for West Michigan, with some of the coldest temperatures we’ve seen in a generation. Windchills will be as low as 25 below zero in Grand Rapids, and 36 below (or colder) in Kalamazoo!

- The coldest day ever in Grand Rapids was -24 degrees in February of 1899.
- At negative-34 degrees, Prestone freezes. There are actually places in West Michigan colder than that.
- Vodka, made in Russia, where it’s always cold, can even freeze. It freezes at -16.51 degrees.
