This year’s swim is going to benefit Evan Potter and his family. Evan was diagnosed with a non-cancerous and inoperable brain tumor on his thalamus in Aug. 2014. Which causes daily migraines and Postural Tachycardia syndrome. He also has increased heart rate, and uncontrolled blood pressure. He takes several medications a day, weekly trips to the hospital for IVs, and occasionally spends weeks in the hospital at a time. Evan is a junior at Zeeland West High School and you can read more about his story here.
Evan’s family pays a large amount each month in medication and medical bills, some of which are not covered by insurance. We’re asking you to help us reach our goal of $25,400 total to cover current expenses that are due AND a year worth of medication for Evan.
