How Are You Doing?

I have a question for you. How are you doing? I ask that because we often have a quick response to that question. We will say things like, "I'm good", or "eh I'm OK". So, how are you doing?

I asked myself, "What do I want to see happen in my life in 2025?" More specifically, "What do I want God to do in my life in 2025?"

After praying about it, God dropped this Bible verse from Isaiah 40:31 on me.

"but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

I will admit it. I have been tired. I have been weary. But, I have my hope in the Lord. And, as I continue to put my hope in the Lord for 2025, I am ready to SOAR.

I don't want to settle, I want to SOAR.

It reminds me of the feeling I've had when running a marathon. (26.2 miles) Those miles are brutal, both mentally and physically. But, when you see the "25 mile" marker, and know that you're 1.2 miles from the finish line, there is just something inside of you that awakens. You get a renewed sense of determination and hope.

You know you're "this close" to leaving the pain behind. You'll soon hear your name called out as your cross the finish line and celebrate the accomplishment!

I feel like I've been running a marathon for quite a while now. It is as if I've been stuck at mile 18. I've been moving at a slow crawl instead of getting closer to the finish line.

I have been tired. I have been weary. I need my strength renewed so that, through the Lord, I will soar!

I posted this on the wall of my closet. It serves as a daily reminder of what I want to see happen in 2025.

In 2025, I am also praying for...

  • To have more Courage

  • A Deeper Faith

  • Friends who don't know Jesus

  • Discovery of new things

  • Wisdom

  • Growth

  • Career Breakthrough

  • To have a greater Godly Influence

  • Clarity in situations

  • Opportunity

  • And for a Fresh, New outlook

I'd love to know your word, or thought, about 2025. Let's connect.

Soar! Go Make a Difference! Always RUN by faith!
