One Year of Grieving

I can't believe it's been a year. A tough year. A year since I've seen her smile or heard her giggle. I miss my mom.

If it's tough for me, I can only imagine how tough it is for my dad. They had been married a month shy of 73 years! I know my dad misses her every day. He tears up at just the mention of her name.

As much as I miss her and all she was to me, I have JOY in knowing I will see her again. And she made it her life goal to make sure we'd all be in heaven together. She was on her knees for us 3 girls and her 7 grandkids and her 4 great grandkids every day. Every. Day. What an example of a godly woman. I only hope I can be more like her every year I live.

I miss my mom, but I KNOW we'll be together again. As it says in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 "After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
