Senior Nyla Covington was voted homecoming queen by fellow students at a school football game in late September. But moments after being crowned, felt called to crown someone else. The recipient was another nominee, Brittany Walters, who had attended the event on a promise made to her mother the day she passed away from cancer. Covington said that she knew Walters would have preferred having her mother rather than a crown, but that she was was loved by many, and especially Covington. The love spread as Walters was greeted at the sidelines by hundreds of hugs.

THIS is what it means to spread JOY!
