ATTN: Measles on the radio
I was listening to you all this morning on the radio and I’m a nurse practitioner in Grand Rapids. There’s actually another option if you don’t know your measles vaccination was effective. You can go to your doctors office and ask for a titer test for measles. It will measure the antibodies in your blood and tell you if you’re immune to measles. Many universities for students and new hires for employment order these tests since many people have no idea when or with what they were vaccinated. It’s relatively inexpensive, somewhere around $10-15 without insurance. Have a great day! ~Kelly
