Two ingredients make SALSA CHICKEN!

To celebrate “kids take over the kitchen” day, we wanted to pass along the EASIEST dinner recipe we’ve ever made so the kiddos can make it for you! Yes, you might have to clean up, but it will get them cooking AND eating!

INGREDIENTS

  1. Thawed chicken breasts (or thighs or drummies, if you prefer)
  2. 1 Jar of Salsa

There are a couple of ways to make this, depending on your timing. You can either pour the salsa over the chicken in the crock-pot and cook all day, or pour the salsa over the chicken and bake in the oven at 375 for 30-40 minutes or undil juices are clear.

Now, there are several ways to serve this, but mayme let the kiddos decide. You can make a side dish of rice and just serve the chicken with rice, with the salsa on top. Or, you can pull apart the chicken and make chicken tacos or chicken nachos or something like that.

Another good idea is to sprinkle salsa with cheese just before serving so the cheese gets good and melty. Just like everyone likes it!

Enjoy!
