I love pepperminty things around Christmas. Just a touch is so refreshing. I found this recipe years ago and actually this year it was even better! I found peppermint sugar cookie dough, so it was way less work!
- 1 pkg 20 sugar cookie dough (if you can find peppermint, go for it!)
- ½ tsp mint (unless you’re using peppermint dough)
- 3 TBS flour
- 1 pkg vanilla baking chips
- 9 peppermints (unless you’re using peppermint dough or just want more mintyness!)
Heat oven to 350 and spread out cookie dough. If it’s sticky, use the flour to help and roll it out. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Pull it out of the oven and sprinkle the chips over the hot dough. Let sit for 5 minutes or so until they’re spreadable. Then spread to almost cover dough. Top with sparkly sugar or crushed peppermint. I use a pizza cutter to cut into cookies
