An anonymous mother in Maryland has been leaving out hundreds of bagged lunches in her community during the COVID-19 shut down.

She has set up a table and tent at a busy intersection, where she leaves healthy bagged lunches with a sign that reads, “For anyone who needs it…I will be leaving some healthy sack lunches on this table for you if you are hungry and need to eat. Made with love by a neighborhood mom in a clean and sanitized kitchen.”

For a number of weeks now that table has been stocked every day between 11am and 1:30pm.

A different mother of two, who has been saving every penny to make ends meet, says the lunches have been a much-appreciated kind gesture. “This makes me embrace my community even more. I’m proud to live here. It’s great to show our kids that there is good in the world. It’s not just about ourselves, it needs to be about others too.”
