I’ve seen a couple great ideas floating around on how to manage snacks with your kids home all day.
The first idea is that each kid gets their own basket. Each basket contains their snacks for the whole day. Want to eat them all before 9 am? Fine, but that’s all the snacks you get for the day, so you might want to think about how hungry you really are. As a bonus, add the kids’ cups for the day to their basket and reduce the number of dirty cups that add up by the end of the day!
Another idea is to turn snack time into a math less. In order to have a snack the kids must pay for it. They pay by using money that is earned by doing academic work. Less healthier food is pricier than healthy snacks!
