This is my family’s summer birthday cake. It’s our favorite! The birthday person gets to choose which ice cream it’s made with. This one I did for Mother’s Day had cookies & cream. Yum! It has a few steps, but they are SO WORTH IT! Cake and ice cream is one thing, ice cream cake is a whole other level! Up your birthday cake game this summer!
- 36 Oreos (crushed)
- ½ stick butter (melted)
- ½ gallon ice cream
- 1 jar hot fudge sauce
- 1 tub whipped cream
Crush oreos, (I use a blender) about 6 at a time. Blend with butter and press into 9×13 pan then freeze
After at least an hour, spread slightly softened ice cream over oreo layer, freeze.
After about an hour, top ice cream layer with slightly warmed hot fudge. Freeze again.
After at least an hour, top with tub of whipped cream, freeze.
Take out of the freezer and let thaw slightly (about 15 minutes) before serving.
