Who doesn’t love a quick and easy and GREEN Christmas cookie! I was so excited when I found this. And I can’t stop eating them. They’re yummy! A couple recommendations…you can order the heart sprinkles online or use red-hot candies. Also, you’ll probably want to double this recipe. It only makes 2 dozen cookies. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 Box Vanilla Cake Mix
- 1 Stick Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 2 Eggs, Room Temperature
- ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
- ½ Cup Corn Starch
- Green Food Coloring
- Red Heart Sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
- Combine powdered sugar and corn starch in a small bowl
- Mix the butter, cake mix, oil and eggs together into a thick batter
- Stir in green food coloring to your preferred shade
- Using a small spoon or scoop, grab a glob of dough and roll it into the powdered sugar mixture
- Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart
- Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes or until they get puffy
- Cool on the cookie sheet for several minutes
- Press the heart onto the dough before it gets cold
- Move to wire rack to finish cooling
